Pony Club Centre Membership is designed for children who do not own their own pony but would like to become involved in Pony Club activities. It gives children the opportunity to learn more about horse/pony care as well as riding, through a range of fun activities and events held at Stickney Riding Centre.

Becoming a Pony Club Centre member is ideal for those looking to own their own pony one day and also those who want to enjoy the friendship of others whom love ponies.

Pony Club Centre Members are encouraged to take the Pony Club Achievement Badges, Efficiency Tests and Progressive Awards. Membership forms are available from us.

The Pony Club is a voluntary youth organisation which is open to all young people under the age of 25 throughout the United Kingdom. The aims of The Pony Club are:

To encourage young people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with ponies and riding.

To give instruction in riding and horsemastership and to educate Members to look after and to take proper care of animals.

To promote the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty to create strength of character and self-discipline.

The Pony Club promotes the education of young people through the provision of instruction and examination in riding, horse care and animal welfare.

Pony Club Achievement Badges

The Pony Club offers Achievement Badges starting with Mini Achievement Badges before moving up to the more advanced ones. Both types of achievement badge will help you learn a wide range of skills like first-aid, farming and map reading as well as pony orientated ones such as saddlery, road safety and grooming.

Pony Club Progressive Tests

The Pony Club training structure encourages Members to take tests which enable them to learn progressively about horsemanship, riding and road sense. Members take tests in modules throughout different levels and are intermediate voluntary steps between the Efficiency Tests. There are four different levels of Progressive Tests - Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.

Pony Club Efficiency Tests

The Pony Club Efficiency Tests enable Members to learn progressively about horse and pony care and riding. The tests are taken at recommended ages and are designed with certain objectives in mind starting with E Test for children aged 4 years or above.
