Meet the Team
Established in 2013 by Sharon Poole BHSAI. Stickney Riding Centre is a 5* licensed centre with British Horse Society qualified instructors. We aim to offer a safe and friendly environment for clients to learn to ride and look after horses/ponies from the age of 4 years old upwards. We provide lessons for the complete beginner or the more advanced rider in our floodlit all-weather flexi-ride surface 20x60 arena. Clients can choose between having private tuition or joining a group of similar ability riders, groups are a maximum of 6 riders in order to maintain a good level of instruction to each client. We are also a Pony Club Linked Centre. There is a weight limit of 13 stone for all riders. As Sharon is an Accredited Professional Coach with the British Horse Society we are also able to offer lessons to clients with their own horses, either at Stickney Riding Centre or at the clients premises.Sharon Poole
Sharon is the Owner, Riding Instructor and Coach at Stickney Riding Centre,
with over 35 years experience of working with horses and over 20 years teaching experience,
her passion and commitment is obvious to all of her clients.
Toby
Toby is Sharons' partner and helps with the general yard work and schooling of the horses. Toby has worked in a Polo yard and been an assistant to a race horse trainer prior to being involved with SRC.
Pam Poole
Pam is Sharons mum, she has supported Sharons' interest in horses and continues to provide support at the Riding Centre, often to be found mixing feeds, fetching ponies and organising pony club activities.
Doodle & Flip
Doodle & Flip are the yard chickens and have been the resident egg producing team at SRC now for several years, they like to snooze in the sun, eat, snooze in the sun and keep an eye on the ponies when in their paddocks.
Ginger & Misty
Sharon's two cats can be found either hunting in the fields or curled up fast asleep. Misty will occasionally sit on the mounting block in the arena and help with lessons
